Bio

Jon began his career in real estate at an early age, clerking, interning, and assisting in the sales and leasing processes at a local New Jersey boutique residential brokerage. After years of apprenticeship under the firm’s owner and broker, Jon entered the commercial real estate sector as an investment sales broker at Marcus and Millichap Commercial Real Estate Investment Services. While at Marcus and Millichap, Jon specialized in the acquisition and disposition of industrial, office, and retail properties in Northern New Jersey. During Jon’s time at Marcus and Millichap, he was involved in excess of $50 million in transactions throughout Northern NJ. Jon was later recruited to join the Tri-State Investment Properties Group at CBRE, an opportunity that would allow him to expand his real estate horizons to include the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of all asset classes: retail, multi-family, office, industrial, and development projects in the NY, NJ, and CT metro areas. While at CBRE, Jon led the team’s 1031 Exchange buy-side business, helping recent property sellers defer their capital gains taxes and placing their money in net-leased assets across the Continental United States. These practices helped the team generate over $100 million in transaction volume annually. After collaborating with Stan Johnson Company on a substantial number of deals, Jon accepted an offer from the firm to work on their national listing platform. During Jon’s time at Stan Johnson Company, he was a leading broker in the firm, listing and closing deals across the United States. In May of 2019, Jon was presented with the opportunity to start up North East operations for a California-based corporate housing company, Zeus Living. Within a year, Jon was able to grow the New York Metropolitan Area market from zero to 150+ properties, closing both standard residential leases and master leases (full buildings) with some of the largest private owners and REITs in the world. Appointed the Regional Head of Real Estate, Jon was able to maintain the multi-family portfolio at an average of 85% occupancy and 30% margins, generating over $1 million in revenue. COVID-19 had lasting effects on business travel in NYC, and Zeus was forced to downsize their NY Metro footprint. Jon co-founded Skyline Real Estate Partners in June of 2020 with Roslyn Gutwetter, a NJ native and 30+ year veteran in the industry.
